Rowan is turning 7 on November 4th. Every year she celebrates her birthday by raising money for the local food bank. Last year she raised over $600 for families in need of assistance by the LA Regional Food Bank. She's trying to raise $700 this year. Please help her!
One in six people in Los Angeles County experiences food insecurity. Every $1 donated allows the Food Bank to distribute the equivalent of four meals through their agency network or Food Bank programs. If Rowan raises $700 she will have helped provide 2,800 meals to local families!
For 42 years, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has been mobilizing resources to fight hunger in our community. They distributed 59 million pounds of nutritious food in 2014 – the equivalent of 48 million meals – to 280,500 clients each month in L.A. County.
