Elysian Valley Slow Ride

The Elysian Valley Slow Ride is a monthly gathering that brings walkers, riders and neighbors together to promote safety for everyone on the LA River Greenway shared path. This November, we ride to help hungry children, families and seniors in our community by filling up your shopping cart!

For 45 years, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has been mobilizing resources to fight hunger in our community. They distributed 68 million pounds of nutritious food in 2017 – the equivalent of 57 million meals – to 300,000 clients each month in L.A. County.

One in seven people in Los Angeles County experiences food insecurity. Check out the short and inspiring video below to see the story of one family.

Every $1 donated allows the Food Bank to distribute the equivalent of four meals through their agency network or Food Bank programs. Plus, our contributions save the Food Bank time and resources incurred through traditional Food Drives.
