For 45 years, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has been mobilizing resources to fight hunger in our community. They distributed 68 million pounds of nutritious food in 2017 – the equivalent of 57 million meals – to 300,000 clients each month in LA County.

One in seven people in LA County experiences food insecurity. LA households make choices each month between paying for food and utilities, transportation, housing or medicine and medical care. The many faces of hunger in our community include the most vulnerable such as children and seniors.

Every $1 donated allows the Food Bank to distribute the equivalent of four meals (five pounds!!) through their agency networks or Food Bank programs.
